One or more heart attitudes that are shown to be important in the story. Heart attitudes include but are not limited to: Compassion, Friendliness, Gratitude, Openness, Generosity, Forgiveness, Inclusivity, Enthusiasm, Perseverance, and Creativity.
OR
One or more of the 7 pillars or other traits of good character to be found in the story.
Format:
• Typed response should follow Fifth Grade rules for computing.
• Please be sure to state the title of the book and the author in your heading title or introduction.
• Remember that in Fifth Grade you always use essay style (introduction with topic sentence, three supporting ideas in the body of the writing, and a conclusion).
• Don’t forget a proper heading and a unique, fitting title!
Artistic Response is optional but encouraged. May be as simple as a bookmark or as complex as an iMovie.
Due Dates:
• Response for 1st book is due no later than the second week in January. (Can be turned in only after completing 50% of your “Reading Goals”)
• 2Response for 2nd book is due no later than the second week in May. (Can be turned in only after completing 100% of your “Reading Goals”.)
